I didn't have a UI for the road placing till now, so the road parameters were constant as set initially from the code. But they can change at each node - width, depth, slant, markings. The roughness would change with the depth.Outerrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01028397138049592535noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217826068942535587.post-2060521653412720282010-06-13T16:52:03.315+02:002010-06-13T16:52:03.315+02:00The whole profile idea for imprinting roads into t...The whole profile idea for imprinting roads into the terrain is, to use Zaphod Beeblebrox's vernacular, " amazingly amazing".

Time well spent sir.

Is it possible to make really difficult off-road tracks by blending between two profiles? Maybe using LERPs to change one profile into another. That would enable the occasional deep pot hole. Not that this isn't good enough for most applications.Numfundlehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04677322954220829176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4217826068942535587.post-83793634896013373292010-06-09T21:35:04.072+02:002010-06-09T21:35:04.072+02:00Very, very cool.
